Your Hosts
Patty & Mitchell
Your permanent hosts at O.Ridley's Hostel16 are Patty & Mitchell, expats from the US that have lived in Barra de Potosí since about 2017.
We depend on help from volunteers to operate the hostel. You can expect a live-in volunteer(s) to be there for you if you have any questions or concerns.
Black Lillie and Dan (Danny Boy, Dan the man) are our two Mexican street dog rescues - guests should be comfortable being around pups.
Mitchell and Patty have been volunteers with our local sea turtle rescue, Campamento Tortuguero Ayotlcalli, since shortly after coming to the area. In fact, O.Ridley’s Tortuga bar, located next to the hostel, was created in an effort to raise funds for the turtle camp. Bar tips and special events benefit the work being done there.
Ronny
Our hostel host Ronny is back for a second season to live on-site at Hostel16. Ronny is from Switzerland and speaks five (5!) languages including English and Spanish.
He is available to help you plan activities, recommend restaurants, organize outings, or show you around town. Have a question? Ronny has an answer!
